PSB Flat Plate Filter Centrifuge
The PSB Series is L&L Machinery’s vertical top-discharge centrifuge engineered for three non-negotiable requirements: crystal integrity, batch purity, and cleanability compliance. Its defining feature is manual top discharge — the operator opens the top flap cover and manually scoops out the cake from a low-speed or stopped drum. With no mechanical scraper, screw, or pusher, crystal breakage is eliminated entirely.

◆ Operating Principle
The PSB top-discharge centrifuge runs in batch cycles: feed is filtered in the drum to form a cake, then washed, dewatered, and manually scooped from the top — with no mechanical force, crystals stay intact — while N₂ prevents explosion and CIP cleans in place, all under PLC control.
◆ Main Features
● Frequency converter starting, stable starting, adjustable separation factor.
● Artificial upper discharge.
● The reasonable structure design effectively eliminates dead corner of sanitation. The structural parts adopt smooth transition and the surfaces are subjected to polishing treatment. The external structural parts, fasteners and bowl are all made of stainless steel. The housing adopts flap type cover, so that the space between the housing and bowl can be cleaned thoroughly.
● It is equipped with the spray cleaning system to carry out CIP cleaning of the centrifuge, including cleaning of inner walls of the housing, interior and exterior surfaces of the bowl, surfaces of the liquid collector and other invisible parts inside the centrifuge.
● It complies with the requirements in the GMP standard.
● Simple structure, convenient operation.
● The grains are not easy to break.
● Good versatility and wide application range.
● It is equipped with the nitrogen protection system to ensure air isolation between the inside cavity and the outside of the centrifuge.
● Closed structure, the seal is made of silicone rubber or fluorine rubber to meet the requirements of sealing and anti-explosion. It is suitable for poisonous, inflammable and explosive applications.
